Okay, I just had a mini panic attack. Some of you are starting to train for a marathon already and.... well, when am I supposed to really start???? I've never done this before!! My widget is telling me I have 173 days til the NYC marathon... Help!?!
On a less panicky note, I realized I just called the next race of mine easy. Imagine that! 10k as easy! hahahaha! (Okay, that was an inside joke between the runner me and the lazy me.)

I think anytime soon is a good time to start- then you won't have one week to go and realise that you didn't have time to run further than 30km already! I am so impressed at your goal- I am too scared to write that one down yet.
I think now would be a good time to start investigating what training program you are planning on following.
You can expect 18 -26 weeks of training.

I think a 19-20 week training plan is OPTIMAL.
At least that's what I did!
