V and I actually did about 6 miles on Monday, and another 4 on Tuesday, so all in all not a bad week. I think the scale the other day was a fluke. That ballooned number was due in part to Sunday's wedding indulgence. I'm back down to "normal" overweight now. (ha!)
Good news: I got into the Nike Half-Marathon.
Bad news: I didn't get chosen for the Marathon. (Missed my guaranteed entry by one race last year.)
I know I can still run via charities. The problem is there are so many charities I want to run for, but I can only pick one.
Planning to rest today and do a long run tomorrow, head back up to Prospect Park and reintroduce myself to hills. I sort of miss them!

Congrats on getting into the Nike Half (if that's the one in SF in Oct., I got into that one too :) )
Have a great weekend.
Good for you, Lisa! And you have motivated me to get my rear out there this morning and get a run/walk in before a wedding indulgence of my own today.
That is why I don't like scales. I can fluctuate 5 pounds easily within a month for many reasons.
Glad to hear you're back to running!
It's good you're back to running--don't bump up the mileage too much too quickly.
I'm with Shirley, my weight can go up and down 5 pounds or more in one week.
I weigh every Friday.
That's it.
I figure it is consistent enough. I am not always pleased but have lost 8 pounds in 6 weeks. Unfortunately, I should still lose another 8.
So... You aren't the only one, Lisa!
