I'm still alive... barely!

I know... I'm so ashamed. I can't keep up!

Been incredibly busy with the stationery stuff. Getting my feet wet selling at outdoor markets, and have been preparing for the next one, which is Saturday... I (snuck away from "work" today and) sent out two wedding invitation orders, with two more in queue that needs to be printed and packaged, and about six in various stages of communicating with the clients...

I also have two small businesses queued in various stages of branding design for them. (I've been slacking on the communications there...) And another one that is asking me to take on redesigning their entire store...

Work is a killer at the moment. Deadlines and more deadlines...

On top of that I've been sick for the past several weeks. It's gotten so bad one week that I couldn't sleep at all. Kept waking up in the middle of the night hacking and wheezing. Boy was I miserable. Now the poor boyfriend is sick hacking his lungs out. I'm telling you, this is one aggressive bug.

Oh yeah, and we're trying to take advantage of the down market, and have been searching for some real estate. (Of course, even with this economy, finding affordable housing in NYC is like searching for a needle in a haystack!)

Grace and I totally skipped out on the Brooklyn Half. We both contemplated doing it, but 13.1 miles isn't something you can just decide to do. At least not for me. As guilty as I felt, I knew I made the right decision. There will always be another one.

I do look forward to running again. The weather has been getting nice and warm. I need to buy new sneakers. In fact, I'll do that first thing so I can motivate my now 20lbs heavier ass! hahaha! (<-- that was a pity laugh.) At least I got in over 5 miles of walking on Monday, and a couple of miles today...

So how have you guys been?

Boy, your business doings sound like you're in the eighteenth mile of a marathon, wondering when or how you're going to get out of this thing. But the miles keep rolling by and suddenly you're hitting the park with two miles to go.
