Sorry! I know it's been a while. I've fallen into my busy period at work and there's no getting around it. Thankfully, after this month I'll have some more time to myself. It's gotten to the point where even my mother (who was once all about working hard) is telling me to chill and not put in so many hours.
Anyway, two quick updates. I finally relented and bought myself a waist thingy.
I know, I know, I could still use that camelpack, but I think this will help me feel less conscious, which will make me more focused on actual running. I have a 10K tomorrow, so I get to test it out! Comes with two bottles and a slim pouch thing.
The second thing is that my Runner's World magazine subscription finally came in and it's awesome! I always felt like I didn't have anyone to talk to about running (excluding you online guys of course). The magazine is amazing, and it helps answer a lot of questions that someone like I, (a not-quite-a-beginner-but-not-quite-intermediate runner) have.
I timed my two week vacation this year to begin on the week I start training. And since I don't have any travel planned, it will be the perfect jumpoff to the training season.
Oh wait! I have a third thing! I found a sheer spray on SPF 45 that works wonders! It's from Neutrogena and it comes in a form of an aerosol spray. Soooo much better than those other greasy sunblocks! The worse part about running in the summer time (besides the humidity) is that I have to choose between getting burned or getting overheated since so many of the sprays are still in cream form.
Okay, I'm psyched!

Good luck tomorrow!!!!
Good luck with the run tomorrow- that waist thingy looks cool. It is way to cold here for sunscreen but there was a thread started on www.ausrun.com.au about it recently.
